ITMA Materials Technology strengthens its activities in internationalisation

ITMA Materials Technology has been one of the 24 grant holders of the Call “Europa Centros Tecnológicos” from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, as part of the Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation Spanish Programme 2013-2016, based on the provisional resolution of July 9th 2015.

The final aim of the call is to provide Technology Centres and Centres that supply technological innovation with a stable structure and the knowledge needed for a suitable preparation and management of European Projects, thus either centres as companies, through the carry over effect promoted by the centres, improve their positioning and choices of receiving European funds in Horizon 2020 during the period 2015-2016.

The project itself is focussed on the strengthening and consolidation of the European Projects Office. This milestone pursues the best alignment between the existing technology areas at ITMA in relation with H2020, Structural Funds Strategy “RIS3” for Asturias region, primarily for advanced materials.

The project is structured in 3 areas: increasing staff competences for preparing H2020 proposals, providing support during project writing and management, and the increase in relational capital by the active participation in networks and technology platforms, so as its dissemination.

Therefore, ITMA Technology Materials´ strategy for internationalisation counts with a new support to face the upcoming H2020 Calls. In addition, the participation of regional companies in European Consortia is also expected, contributing to give a boost to the business network in Asturias.
