ITMA Materials Technology granted with CDTI INNVOLUCRA funds for promoting internationalisation on R&D&i

The INNVOLUCRA programme has the objective of promoting the participation of Spanish entities in international programmes for technological cooperation within the EU, setting several specific measures including the Programme for R&D Managers in Brussels. The aim is to promote specialization of staff from Spanish entities working on H2020 proposals & initiatives at European scale.

This programme gives financial Support for the realization of a temporal stay at CDTI´s office in Brussels, the SOST office, on a competitive basis. The stay has a length of 8 weeks and it is structured in a study phase (where the manager attends to a set of presentations from speakers including European Commission, CDTI staff and further R&D key actors at European scale), and a phase where the work plan, agreed between CDTI and ITMA, has to be developed. Each programme edition counts with a maximum of 6 granted entities.

ITMA will develop its activities within the field of materials, both in the Industrial Leadership Programme (e.g. Key Enabling Technologies) as in Social Challenges, including Secure, Clean and Efficient Energy; Smart, Green and Integrated Transport; Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials.

Then, based on the areas of specialization within ITMA, the activities to be developed will feed all R&D Areas (Nanotechnology, Photonics, Steel and Metallurgy, Engineering, Electronics and Refractories, Ceramics and Raw Materials).

The work plan associated for the stay in Brussels can be divided into 4 chapters, which are linked between them: training, specific visits, attendance to events and support for the preparation of H2020 proposals for R&D Areas at ITMA.

In addition, it is expected to deepen the knowledge related to how networks and technology platforms for materials work, trying to maximise the efforts developed by ITMA in relation with a correct positioning and framing the proper efforts for the activities to be developed in the future by ITMA.
