Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
The Quanta 400 scanning electron microscope (SEM) is a high performance electron microscope with three imaging modes: High vacuum, low vacuum,
environmental SEM (ESEM), up to 2667 Pa.
Friction Machine
Te 77 is a high frequency friction machine. The general purpose of this machine is the measurement of the materials wear putting a fixed specimen in touch with a moving specimen with a normal load applied over them and a sliding movement.
Mechanical Test Bench
The mechanical test bench consists of a 4 meters long and 2.5 m wide slotted table. It has three actuators of different capacity (50 kN, 100 kN and 250 kN) mounted on it. The three actuators are mounted in separate brackets so it can perform mulitaxial and uniaxial tests.
Hydrogen Induction Machine
This hydrogen induction device allows to carry out the assessment of resistance to induced hydrogen embrittlement on metals by testing the HIC (Hydrogen-induced cracking: hydrogen-induced cracking) or SOHIC (Stress -oriented hydrogen-induced cracking: cracking hydrogen guided by the presence of tension).
Creep Machines
The equipment consists of four machines of the same features model INSTRON M3 TCS. They are used for testing creep (creep and stress rupture), which is the capacity of materials to withstand high temperatures for a certain time.
